beReady Business Development Programme

beReady is an integrated business development programme that provides tailored support to help established businesses develop and make smarter choices.

Delivered by East Ayrshire Council, this programme can help your organisation through a combination of workshops, consultancy and financial support.

There are 8 business development themes:

• beSalesReady
• beMarketingReady
• beDigitalReady
• bePeopleReady
• beFinanceReady
• beManagementReady
• beProcurementReady
• beInnovationReady

Eligibility criteria for BeReady Support

• 2+ years trading / High Growth Potential
• At least 1 additional employee (evidence of being on pay-roll – not a sub-contractor)
• £90k+ turnover (or VAT threshold +)
• Most recent annual accounts – no more than 12 months old
• pay the Real Living Wage
• operate in key sectors (Food & Drink/Tourism and Hospitability, Engineering & Manufacturing, Construction, Health and Social Care, Renewables (including Net Zero supply chain), Retail and Digital
• Must engage in Net Zero initiatives

Conditions:

• One project per business at a time, must finish within 3 months
• Project evaluated and tangible impacts measured before a new project can be started

Through the programme, you can access one-to-one consultancy support. Then, if this identifies a potential project for your business, financial support may be available.

GoStrategy Business Development Programme

The GoStrategy programme focuses on building a strategic understanding within your business that will help you achieve a positive change in commercial performance over the long term.

GoStrategy gives you access to specialist consultants who help you define where your business is going over the next year and what you must do to get it there. The consultant will work alongside you for up to 12 months to keep you focussed on the longer-term objectives and will be there to help you tackle the challenges and obstacles that are put in the way of progress.

Consultants can pull in additional expertise from the beReady programme as required.

• 10+ employees
• £500k+ turnover
• Most recent annual accounts – no more than 12 months old
• pay the Real Living Wage
• operate in key sectors (Food & Drink/Tourism and Hospitability, Engineering & Manufacturing, Construction, Health and Social Care, Renewables (including Net Zero supply chain), Retail and Digital
• Must engage in Net Zero initiatives
